It's time to pay the bills!

The hosting bill is due again for these forums! Last year, I eventually asked for donations to pay the bill (as opposed to posting icky ads). The turn-out was amazing, and so I'm going to ask for donations again. Any overage from this year's donations, we can either donate to the Isle Royale Natural History Association (IRNHA, like we did last year), or keep in a fund to pay forward to the bill next year. It's up to everyone here to decide since this *is* everyone's forums.

If you'd like to help, you can click the PayPal button below. Please donate anything you are comfortable with.

P.S., You'll notice it says my personal email when you click the link below, but it will say "Isle Royale Forums" for the reason for the donation. I just have to use my personal PayPal account...truly.

I don't have a Paypal account, but would like to contribute. Is there a mailing address for us to send in a contribution?

I, too, remain PayPal-less but would send a check if there were an address provided.

Happy to help again, Fonix!

BTW - I'm not sure it requires a PayPal account. I was able to go and fill out my info, and while it noticed I was a PayPal user, allowed me to continue without logging in. I think it might just be using the PayPal engine to process the transaction.

Yes I did, thanks John! Nice chatting the other night as well, I enjoyed hearing from you.

To all: you do NOT need a PayPal account to donate...anyone can pay as long as you have a credit card.

I'm going to keep asking for donations for the rest of the weekend. Everyone who donated, THANK YOU for letting the Isle Royale forums soldier on through your gracious donations!

Since PayPal takes a significant cut off the top for payments to commercial accounts, but does not take anything when members with non-commecial accounts transfer funds to each other, I was wondering if there is a non-commercial account I can use to send part of my PayPal balance without giving them a cut?

Don,

Since this is a donation, there is no cut by PayPal.

All, I've removed the donation button as we've got enough to pay the bills for the year. Thank you very much to all who donated, it is appreciated. Pat yourselves on the back for keeping the forums up and running for everyone to enjoy!
