Perrot State Park in Wisconsin

Post by MeganP »

If you get to the La Crosse area in Wisconsin and love to hike, stop by Perrot State Park near Trempealeau.

I hike there a couple of times a year, and got there this week on a gorgeous, sunny day and was reminded how spectacular it is.

The Brady's Bluff and Perrot Ridge Trails offer stunning, expansive views up and down the Mississippi River Valley. Eagles and other raptors soar overhead, bluffs overlap up and down both sides of the river, and the river shimmers below.

I don't like sharing my favorite places, but it's the least I can do for a forum that's been so helpful as I've planned IR trips.

If you do go there, the Trempealeau Hotel in town offers good eats.
