Backpacking Lower Peninsula

Post by HoosierHiker1202 »

Hey all, with travel plans completely messed up this summer, can someone recommend a 2-3 day backpacking trip somewhere in the lower peninsula? Looking to keep the daily mileage between just 5-10 miles as one of our group members is a little less experienced. Thanks.

there's the Potowatomi trail in SE MI -- a little over 17 miles, with two campsites and a yurt en route. I haven't backpacked it myself, but the backpackers I've encountered have seemed well pleased. If you go, bring head nets! ... &type=SPTR

Warren dunes has a couple dozen miles of trails and two camp sites. Weko is just up the beach and could do that hike too.
