With but one suggestion to a person; I'll offer the name of "Recovery II" to honor Cpt. McCargo's Northwest Fur Company vessel (even if it was tied to the Bloody Brit side of that 1812 tussle). One of the more interesting threads I've seen in some time. Keep those suggestions coming.

All the really good names are too complicated. This was my last choice.
GipperT (Grand Portage & Isle Royale Transportation)
UnkaT a.k.a Chippewa Squatter :D

These were alternates:
Bucket Bob’s Boat
Corbeau Marin (Sea Raven)
esprit d'eau (Water Spirit)
Invincible II
Island Hopper
Island Runner
Islander
Lac Superieur
Lamplighter II
Minong Islander
Minong Mariner
Money Pit
Moon Shadow
Norsk Båt (Norwegian Boat)
Recovery II
Royale Islander
Sea Falcon
Sea Swift
Siskawit II
Walk-in-the-Water II
Water Walker
Windigo Runner

"Thimbleberry" named for that summertime green carpeted floor of Isle Royale.

Hi all,

This it's just a reminder that this contest is closed. I'll be sending the names to Capt Don by early next week.

Thanks for participating!

Capt Don had reviewed the names. He won't make a decision on the name for sometime, and because of the short time between now and the start of the season, the boat won't get it's new name until next year.

Thanks to all those who participated, and stay tuned!
