MusucBag

Post by PatrickBDunlap »

I so want one of these! I am a roller when I sleep and hate to have my legs confined in a bag. I bought more of a barrel bag then a mummy because of my rolling around. If I had seen this before, this is what I would have gotten, damn the weight. This is just too cool!

Wow! I'm a roller too and this is pretty cool. Pretty cheap too.

you can get one at sierra trading post for $48, but only in brown, and only size L.

but yeah... the weight seems like a deal breaker for backpacking. 4lb3oz !!! and it's only rated for 49°???

Those things look awfully silly. 'Course, when you're camping, who cares about style.

Does it come with the free Borat inside like the pictures show? I hope not.

It is extra weight and the temp value it not the best but since I do mostly warm weather camping I would not mind too much plus you could increase the temp by wearing long underwear which is a good idea in any bag to keep it clean. I also am willing to take the extra weight if I can get a good nights sleep. I am already doing hammock sleeping and compare two hammock systems to one, two man - tent, I am already adding weight for comfort but if I don't get a good nights sleep then the trip is wasted because I just can't enjoy it for being too exhausted. Plus those late night bathroom trips now would be nice and warm.

That's a good price for the bag, might have to check it out although at 6'5" I might need the XL.

Your comment about it being warm on the way to the outhouse just gave me a chuckle. I just got this picture of myself stumbling down a dark trail to the outhouse in the middle of the night and running into... well, you said you're 6'5" and the one in the picture IS bright yellow and I would be half-asleep and....
YIPE! Instead of a moose, Big Bird!

But it does make sense that if you sleep in a hammock it would be your advantage to keep your legs free for getting in and out of bed.

I like it a lot. Does it come with a relief zipper?
