A friend of mine turned me on to this piece if equipment. I like the fact you can get daily up to date weather reports for IR. Being able to send and receive text at a cheap price is also nice and the SOS/DR option could come in handy. I have always wanted daily weather reports when there. Being a serious photographer, astrophotographer knowing if night is going to be clear is a nice planning tool. I know they post reports at RH and Windigo but would be handy when you are anywhere else. I also get it that folks like to be disconnected from the world but I am getting up there in age and staying connected is a nice option. I have looked at the InReach by Garmin but the cost and subscription service is too rich for my blood.Has anybody had any experience with this gadget.
