How much TP do you pack?

Post by blink »

Two people for 8 days. One roll? Two?

I feel like this is something I really don't want to guess wrong on.

Edited to add: I have a kula cloth so tp usage would just be for outhouse doodies. (see what I did there? )

We recently did the same basic setup in the Porcupine Mountains (2 people, 8 days). We each packed one medium roll of TP and came home with a total of about one full roll remaining between us. So if I were feeling adventurous, I'd bring 1 roll... but probably 1.5 is safer. (Edited to make Ed happy!)

FYI: Outhouses are reportedly not stocked with toilet paper this year.

I fully expected they wouldn't be.

I'm going to pack one and a half "double" rolls. I will also make sure and report back on how much we had left over.

Took 1.5 (double) rolls and returned with about .25 roll for two people, 8 days. I have absolutely no problems with carrying extra toilet paper weight.

Two people. Two double rolls. Remove the cardboard roll and squish into a ziplock. 10 days. We had some leftover but not a lot. Helps if (as a lady) you use a kula cloth or equivalent Vs tp for pee.

Brought 3 (big) rolls for 2 people, 7 days. Left 2 there. But weren't worried about running out :D . So I'd bring 2. Should note we were canoeing so didn't have to worry about carrying it.
