pack rafting to Siskiwit
I am planning a trip over Memorial Day from Snug to Moskey to Siskwit to Chippewa to Richie to Snug. I'm taking my sea kayak to Moskey and pack rafting from there. My big question is about Siskiwit, but other suggestions will be appreciated. I have only been on Siskiwit lake once and it was quite calm. Does a slight wind cause a problem, or does it take more of a blow? I have planned plenty of days for weather, but need to know when to change plans based on wind before I get there. The kayak is for speed travel and knocking around if weather cooperates. I have no intentions of carrying it to Richie again.

Re: pack rafting to Siskiwit
Waves on Siskiwit can get "big" depending on the wind direction and fetch. If the wind is west or SW and you are towards the east end, expect big waves, 2-3' maybe more depending on wind speed and duration. If you have 10-15, it is going to get choppy, more wind now you start getting bigger waves.
