Damn dams! Sorry I just couldn't resist the opportunity.

Terrible for the moose but saved some trees though.

How sad! Is this a potential hazard for backpackers, too?

Not on the trails. They will be muddy but not deep.

I wonder if this is the pond they are referring too. this was on the way to tower on Ojibway up the from Daisy Farm, There were a number of Rangers dismantling dam this image is just part of them, view of Lake Ojibway, you can see the big mud flat and when coming down the Rangers had breached dam in a number of spots and the level of water had dropped around 2 feet making boardwalk above the water level. was a pretty impressive site.
