Hi all,
My wife and I took a trip to Isle Royale with our kayaks back in 2010, and I remember researching the island through this forum to plan our trip and figure out a route. Thinking this might be useful to other paddlers considering a similar trip, here is a link to our pictures (with captions) from the trip.

Our route consisted of the following:
Day 1 - Ferry from Copper Harbor to Rock Harbor. Paddled to Moskey Basin.
Day 2 - Portaged to Lake Richie, camped at Lake Richie
Day 3- Lake Richie to Lake LeSage, Livermore, and Chickenbone. Camped at Chickenbone West.
Day 4 - Chickenbone to McCargo Cove to Herring Bay to Pickerel Cove to Belle Harbor. Camped at Belle Isle.
Day 5 - Belle Isle to Blake Point, up around Blake Point and down to Tookers Island. Camped at Tookers.
Day 6 - Tookers back to Rock Harbor.

I had built an extra day into the trip for inclement weather or other issues, but we didn't need it, which is why we ended up staying at Tookers Island. If we had been stuck somewhere along the trip, we would have skipped Tookers and simply ended back at Rock Harbor. Depending on how good of a paddler you are, this could be a 5-day trip.

Any questions about the trip, please ask! We are now planning for another trip this summer to cover parts of the island we didn't the first time - starting in Rock Harbor and paddling down the southern shore to finish in Windigo. So I may have some questions of my own! This forum has definitely been a great resource for trip planning info.
