Thanks for the tip on the air bubbles!
I had a minor airlock issue, then it dawned on me to loosen the bottle adapter so it could let the air out

Really impressed...thanks for the suggestions!

Just landed my Sawyer as a Dad's Day gift. I haven't used it yet, but was wondering on proper cleaning/ drying techniques as the packaging doesn't mention that. I know to boil my ceramic filter, but you can't do that with the sawyer.tree rattt wrote:Just a friendly reminder.don't forget to properly clean your water equipment for storage.I did ! Outa sight out mind I guess.found it full of mildew or something......Took alot of extra work to get it back to full function....nasty!

Yes weighs nothing and works.tree rattt wrote:Any users of the sawyer mini? I am looking at one for my solo sul rig.
Here's an option to save some money. Almost the same tubing, better quality grade, only 5 feet long but it comes with it's own shutoff valve. Just don't tell anyone it's original purpose or if you do make sure they know it was never used as such.WindChill wrote:Picked up some of these as a shut off "valve":

I used rubber tubing from an old water filter, but this is what Ive got in my cart for making the next one. Should be the same as what I have:
