Hello,
My group is heading up to IR Thursday for our trip from Friday-Tuesday. We are going to be staying at Daisy Farm, Moskey Basin, McCargoe Cove and Lane Cove. Just was wondering what everyone's favorite campsites are at those campgrounds. First time going to IR and want to see if the favorite spots of others will be available. Thanks for any information that will be provided, it is greatly appreciated!

Lane Cove is cool, although the last I heard, there's a section of water over the boardwalk. Moskey is my personal favorite. A spectacular sunrise can be witnessed there. Enjoy the trip. Prepare for bugs.

Re: Favorite Campsites
Daisy Farm: Had a nice time in shelter 10.
Moskey: Shelter 3 or 7. #7 has a direct view out toward the sunset.
McCargoe: Shelter #7
Lane Cove: Tent only, but I enjoyed campsite #3.

Re: Favorite Campsites
Here. I'll point out my favorites. Or at least my brother-in-law will.
Daisy Farm #10. A classic with great beach access.
Moskey Basin #3. Great flat "lying out" rock. Beautiful view.
McCargoe Cove - Tough call, I like both #5 and #6, they set up a little higher on the hill. This may be why it's missing a finger.

Re: Favorite Campsites
Todd Harbor is my favorite, Lane Cove would be next. I guess I prefer sunsets vs sunrises. However, I really like Malone and Chippewa as well. I always stop and bask on the rocks at Three Mile, but have never actually stayed there.
