Inland Water Conditions

Would any recent visitors please comment on the blue/green algae status of the inland lakes? Leaving soon and wondering if they've had any blooms. Thx.

The park service has always been quite diligent about posting bloom alerts on the Isle Royale Park Service website. Presently there are none posted and I believe there have been none so far this year. We might get a more up to date first hand report but if a bloom exists then an official alert won't be far behind. Once discovered, due to personal safety issues, park management seems to take swift action in publishing the hazard.
