IR Seaplanes add a 2nd Beaver

Post by johnhens »

This is from the IR Seaplane FB page:
CONFIRMED. The beaver population has officially grown by 100%. Isle Royale Seaplanes is excited to announce that we will be operating not one, but TWO de Havilland dhc-2 Beaver. If this news makes you happy think about how happy you’ll be flying in one. Join us for a flight to Isle Royale where your odds of seeing an actual beaver are also in your favor!

Not sure if this will open up additional flights to already booked trips.

Those are so iconic and I've always been fascinated by the beavers and otters. If you share that point of view, here's a great video about the history of the de Havilland Beaver.

Great video. I've spent a lot of time in Cessnas (as a passenger) over the years, and can agree that they don't have much umph. Makes me want to take a ride in one of these.
