Catching up with the gang......

Hi All!

Sorry I haven’t been back here much since my first trip to IR last September. The afterglow from that trip lasted for months. And it still crosses my mind at least a few times a week.

Anyway, thought I’d drop by to catch up a little….and possibly network a bit.

Some might recall that I had some ankle issues. All is well there. I’m all healed up and looking forward to the fair weather hiking season.

I’ve had a pretty major life change tho. Lost my job last November, right before the holiday season. And I had just crossed the 10 year mark with the same company. It’s this nuclear winter economy. Oy.

Regardless, the pity party’s over, but I’m still looking for work.

Since ya never know where your next contact will come from, figgered I’d cast a line into this pool.

I’m a 20-year advertising & marketing writer/broadcast producer. And occasional voice talent. I’ve written pretty much everything from matchbooks to skywriting…TV, radio, print, websites, brochures, outdoor….the works.

Actual staff writing positions are rare to begin with and about non-existent in Grand Rapids right now. So I’ve hopped aboard the freelance train and am actively casting about for work. And I’m getting some….but in dribs and drabs. I need to be a whole lot busier than I am.

Sooooo…if anyone works at (or know of) a company that uses freelance writers to create any kind of promotional materials, I’d really appreciate a heads-up.

Sorry to hear about the job.
Things are bleak in Macomb & Oakland County, too.
I've been out of work since last April.
Kept somewhat busy with contract work.

Dreaming of a return trip......
