The Government finally put its money where it's mouth is and construction on a new dock at Hat Point Marina, home of the Grand Portage Isle Royale Tansportation Line and the trustworthy Voyager II/Sea Hunter, is underway!

Yay! Much needed as the old dock at Hat Point marina was in rough shape.

Your link answers my question. Steel and concrete works for me. How about the Windigo dock? Its still wood, as I recall.

No plans to replace that, that I've heard. I don't think it needs it, that dock is pretty burly.

The Windigo dock isn't going anywhere anytime soon, it's more stable than our democracy.
It's not Heaven, but they can see IR from there...
