This article seems to indicate why very little info is being doled out, especially if the FBI is involved.
"In email to the Free Press, Hall said the FBI routinely assists law enforcement partners upon request, however it does not necessarily result in the FBI opening an investigation.
"FBI policy prohibits the confirmation of the existence of investigations, the release of information on investigations and any public report on the closing on an investigation,” Hall said in an email to the Free Press."
Keep in mind if/when the story comes out in its entirety, it will make your stomachs turn. The amount of rage required to “snap” and use a knife or to do it with your bare hands at that level of relationship is ‘almost’ incomprehensible. Premeditated? Well that’s another horrible rabbit hole.
They're clearly holding back information because of the extremely personal nature of this case for several reasons. (which we've already touched on in other threads). The family/friends associated to the deceased are also doing a good job with maintaining information control. In addition to a federal investigation & their OPSEC policies, there are likely some very personal details surrounding the individuals which they would prefer not to be made public.
Why? Because it's personal and your wife wouldn't want it made public if you or her child was murdered on the island by a stranger; much less by one another. I totally get the want/desire to hear the full story, it's in my blood too but FFS step back & just let the family deal with it. It’s not 1994 anymore and this doesn’t go away once the newspapers are thrown out. The information will live on the internet archives forever and will indexed until the family pay$ a service to scrub it as best they can. The surviving family deserves more than to have that information drug across the internet.
