We went to the Slates a while ago. We were told there had been at least 2 wolves that crossed across the ice to the islands and had been feeding on the caribou. They (wolves) met their demise (from what I recall the circumstances might have been questionable).drobarge wrote:I was fortunate enough to see several Caribou last summer during a visit to the Slate islands.
