All the designated campsites have enclosed outhouses/latrines, sometimes more than one, and if you're lucky they'll even be fully stocked with TP! (Bring your own to be safe.)

Chippewa also has camp shelters, but your other sites do not.

Thanks Tom.

It sounds downright luxurious compared to the open air "pots" on the SHT. Or since we're talking about outhouses I should say Superior Hiking Trail. :D

I'm sorry, but as long as we're on the topic, what weirds me out about those open SHT toilets is how my dog is able to watch me. It's downright creepy.

LOL Yea it's a bit wierd. I just always make sure to tell my hiking partners that I'm "goin' in'. So they don't walk down the trail whilst I'm, well, you know. I'm glad I'm a guy that's for sure. I try not to use them but man that dehydrated food. Well again. You know.

The BWCA is the same way. I kind of enjoy the view from the throne

As I recall, the camp at Mirror Lake, in the Porkies, has an open air throne; gotta love it! 8)
