I agree! Looks like the Ranger is headed down the Keweenaw Waterway now!

They run The LCM back and forth? Where do I sighn up to get a ride on that?

I found a picture of the actual LCM owned by the NPS. The one I posted earlier was just an example of an LCM-8, not the NPS boat.
Here it is navigating down the Keweenaw waterway, carrying what looks to be a NPS boat. I don't know the regularity of their trips to the Island but I'm pretty sure the trips are all tied to maintenance work, not open to the public. Even one ride in rough seas would be more than I could handle.

WOW!! what a beauty.That LCM looks in top shape.The last time I sailed the Apostles in 2009 we pulled into a dock and theirs was sitting beside us.....it had seen better days! It is now retired.I didn' t think a ride was an option ......but still ;)

The USCG Katmai Bay was in Washington Harbor today, presumably breaking ice (since it's an ice breaker). Not sure if it made it to Windigo or not.
