Glad to hear you didn't have to roll down any hills to get into camp. I assume that means your knees weren't an issue.
Enjoyed both versions of the trip report.

The knee held up great. Brought a knee brace but never used it. It did twinge a couple times coming down off the Feldtmann ridge, but was fine otherwise. I used my trekking poles a lot on the steeper downhills. My hip, on the other hand, started bothering me a little--that's new. I hate getting old
!

It's an anti-chafing balm and also helps prevent blisters. Comes in a deodorant like stick. Got mine at REI, but it's pretty widely available--popular with runners and cyclists.
