This exchange about the trail connecting Moskey Basin to Daisy Farm underscores the fact that different walkers (or the same walker under different external/internal conditions) experience the same stretch of trail in different ways. Some one needs to develop a trail difficulty calibration app that translates A's testimony about how challenging a route is into the testimony B would give were B to experience the trail herself!

For what it's worth, the most difficult stretch of IR trail, by far, in my experience: the Tobin Harbor trail, when choked with deadfall.

Huh. I would not have guessed that one for you, as you have wingèd feet.

On the wrong day, and with little sleep, Windigo to Island Mine can feel like a death march.

Someone should make that app.

The wings on my feet were part of the problem: even they got entangled in the deadfall!
