I was wondering what everyones favorite freeze dried food flavor was. Whats yours?

I've got a soft spot for the chili mac. I'm a "spicy" kind of guy.

Mountain House's Beef Stroganoff Pro-Pak has got to be one of the best nearly-ready-to-eat when you're just off the trail meals I've had. I tend to pack one every year. Yummy. (I'm Scandinavian in heritage; Ketchup is a spice. We call that "Swedish Hot Sauce.")

MaryJane Farms has fantastic freeze dried pouch meals, all are organic but taste great!! A few of my favorites are-
Cheesy Bacon Noodles and Tomatoes
Nicks Couch Potatoes
Peasant Tomatoe Soup

I'm with Tom on Mountain House Beef Stroganov. Right next to that is their Sweet and Sour Pork.

Mountain House is pretty dang tasty, but for really good grub that you prepare a la Mountain House, check out Cache Lake foods. It's just as easy to prepare, but tastes 10x better.

I agree Cache Lake foods is good, but it's in an entirely different category.

Mountain House - add boiling water, wait, eat.

Cache Lake - start rehydration, heat up frying pan, add cooking oil, cook, eat, clean pan & rehydration bowl. Best eggs I ever had that weren't fresh or freeze dried. Maybe better than freeze dried.

Agreed - Cache Lake is almost a different category. Their booth at the Outdoor Adventure Expo was adjacent to the GPIR booth, so I now think I've tasted every meal they make. Billie just kept cooking and offering! Who am I to deny? That's a whole new level of easy-to-pack food.
That being said, things like their five-minute flat bread (phenomenal) are fast but do require a little more prep than add hot water. Their wild rice salad (one of the best things I've ever tasted) has like a ten hour soak time if you prepare it cold. We are packing a bunch of their stuff for our first trip... I'll let you know how it goes!

Mountain House Chicken and Rice. Reminds me of Grandma's, and she was a good cook.

The Mountain House Chicken Teriyaki is very tasty too. Actually, I don't think I've ever had a Mountain House meal that wasn't good.

I would almost agree with this. I haven't found a dinner that wasn't good. However, we snapped into a blackberry cheesecake once that looked and tasted like it was straight from a Daisy Farm privy. We've also had a bananas foster that wasn't much better. Lest I give all the desserts a bad name I should mention that the neapolitan ice cream and ice cream sandwiches are perhaps the greatest freeze dried delicacies one can enjoy in camp. We thought my wife was crazy for buying them until we tried them...

I had some type of Raspberry Crumble dessert one time and that was good. However, I haven't had any of the other desserts.

Chili Mac is my number one.

The ketchup line made me laugh out loud.

I've been pretty happy with lasagna, except for its stick-to-your-spoon qualities.
