Canoeing and/or fishing in Rock Harbor day before departure

We'll have a good part of a day in Rock Harbor the day before we head home. We're thinking about renting a canoe for the day. Would this be worthwhile? Any suggested routes? Is this a good area to fish?
Thanks!
Eric

Tobin Harbor is a nice paddle and more protected than the Rock Harbor side. I think most if not all of the rental canoes are kept on that side. Also, the hike out to Scoville Pt is very nice with some great shoreline views, about 4 miles round trip and easy trails (esp. w/o a pack).

Thanks! Do you know if fishing Tobin Harbor from the canoe would be a good idea?

I'm not much of a fisherman, but I can't imagine that tossing a lure around some reed beds could be a bad ides
I don't recall much discussion of fishing in Tobin, but there's got to be fish there!

I'm usually pretty worn out.
