I read the regs and it talked about "organic" bait. Anyone ever used it and or know if it's legal? I am planning on spinners, Rapala's etc.

I should clarify. Wondering if Powerbait is O.K. or if anyone has ever used it on IR.

I believe that Powerbait is NOT OK to use.
This was taken from page 7 fishing regulations table, footnote #3, in the 2011 Greenstone newsletter:
"Artificial lure means any lure or fly manufactured in imitation of, or as a substitute for natural bait. It is unlawful to use
or possess live bait, dead or preserved bait, organic or processed food, or
scented material on interior lakes or streams."
At the very least, Powerbaits do not pass the "scented" clause.
I'm having trouble opening this latest NPS link. Maybe it's just temporary:

Thanks for the link Ed. The regs I was looking at didn't say scented. So I would definately say power bait is a no go. Guess I'll have to rely on my superior fishing prowess. Meaning. Bring an extra Mountain House.
