MN to study BP oil spill effects on Loons

Loons that may winter in the Gulf may take on conataminents from the oil spill. Pelicans will be studied also.
20 dead loons have been found in MN this year. I beleive 2 were found on IR.

When I was at Merritt Lane last early September 2010, a funded group out of Ashland was also gathering
data in regards to BP oil Spill.

Do you know what they were doing? I know there is a birder out of the UP doing something similar.

I did not get in conservation about data details, but they were canoeing around the south eastern islands in search of Loons. There next stop was to be Tobin Harbor.
