In the spirit of consistency, I present to you the "What are you going to use your REI dividend on? 2012 edition" thread. It comes from a long, storied lineage of similar threads, see the 2011 edition, 2010 edition, and even then 2009 edition.
While I know shopping at REI is now a polarizing subject--especially for me--you can't deny a good deal when you see it. REI dividend + a 20% off coupon = a good steal no matter your principles. Let's just stay on task; only post here if you are going to buy something from REI with your dividend & coupon.
@ Ingo - I picked up that Exped Air Pillow last year and love it. I'll take the 3 oz extra to get better sleep at night than resting my head on my pack or clothes...
I'm looking to grab a Patagonia 3 top or maybe a Therm-a-rest Z-lite myself...
REI silk long underwear bottoms for me. Got the top before Christmas on sale and really like it. It's about a third the weight of their polypro midweight and still plenty warm. Might pick up a few other odds and ends if there is any leftover $$.
Last year I got a great pair of Asolo boots with my rebate, coupon and some cash that have carried me well. This year my wife is claiming the rebate, unless I can get to the mail first .

Just a kind heads up to all of those that might be unaware, this time around you will be allowed 20% off one regular priced item and 20% off one of the outlet item. Everyone knows about the regular priced discount, but not all are aware of the outlet deal. I don't have the code on me, but it is some generic "rewards***" something or another promotional code. I got it on my credit card statement, but Im sure you'll find it on the actually physical dividend, through email, or on their site once the promotion starts on 3/23. So start planning your purchases out

FYI, the 20% off can be applied to a sale item this year. In the past you could only use it on a full-priced item. Plus you can use another 20% off an rei-outlet item.
I just ordered a Carbon Reflex 3 MSR tent and got my buddy an extra 20% discount on some rollerblades that were already 40% off in the outlet. Yay! I know you can get an extra 20% any outlet items, but I was not aware of there being any sales currently being ran outside of the outlet, so if you mean you can get 20% off of outlet items you are correct.
