I would like to simply thank each person who takes the time to post on here. I do not have the pleasure of
venturing out backpacking this year due to a pretty serious back injury and I very much enjoy reading
your stories and adventures. Isle Royale is a special place to many and I included, and I will be coming back
I just dont know when. So thank you and please keep writing like you all do. Safe travels.

My prayers for a quick recovery for you with no nagging future pains or irritations. I have known plenty of people who have suffered from back injuries to realize that it is a sensitive area that needs plenty of rest in order to properly recover itself instead of just enough rest where the problem merely goes into a dormant phase only to return when you least expect it. As hard as it may be not to pay a visit to the island this year, your back will probably appreciate it in the long run and reward you with many more trips thereafter. Again, I hope that things work out and that you have a pack on your shoulders next season. We'll try to keep the trip reports coming for you in the meantime.

P.S. Thanks for PMing me back. I'll let you know how my September trips turns out.
