If the temperature is 68 degrees while I am hanging out at Moskey, I will for surly be doing some laps

I have been in a polar plunge on Jan. 1st on 4 of the 5 great lakes so you can bet I will be taking a dip no matter what the temp. The only draw back to being a polar bear is their moto "You may go in a rooster, but you come out a capon"

If I were a betting man, I'd put money that we could see algae blooms on Chickenbone and Ritchie this year, perhaps sooner rather than later. The Midwest has been very warm, and I'm sure the inland lakes are up in temp quite a bit. It would be interesting if any other lakes bloom as well.

It was very warm this week (relatively), both on the boat and on the island. Significantly warmer than any previous trip.

So would any of you who have been there recently say that int he beginning of september you will or wont need a warm sleeping bag if you were staying at washington creek and the cove?
