Thanks for pointing out my anxiousness  ; I like to get there early, take in the sites, get a front row seat.

Talk about delayed gratification. I think it's from the forum clock being re-adjusted; the jet stream deviation causing brain-freeze.

Time to put, "Fortunate Wilderness" in the player and thaw out.

I need a walk.

Went to the premier last night. Great crowd of people, lots of people. I would guess over 150 folks attended, would you agree Midwest Ed? Great food and drank a Polish brew I had never tried before.
Nice to see Midwest Ed, always fun to chat with fellow forum members!! Hope you made it back to the Quad Cities ok.
I asked George about release dates, it sounds like the DVD could be released later on in June.
I saw the initial release in Madison, I think George made some small changes, enjoyed watching it again. I will be interested to see what fonix and others think of it in Duluth on 6/1.

There were easily 150 people, probably closer to 200. The theater was packed. Great food also.

You were correct about it not being a documentary. It was more personalized than I expected. It kind of reminded me of a modern day filmography version of Thoreau's "Waldon (Pond)".

I'm still confused on the time line. He edited it to make sense from his story telling perspective so the chronology of the actual journey was not in sequence. He said there is a website under construction (to be released as soon as two weeks from today) that will allow a retracing of his steps, so to speak. http://www.fiftylakesoneisland.com/

I enjoyed seeing you again John. We missed jr I guess.

Man everything is delayed with this production from the DVD which was initially was supposed to be released at the beginning of the year to the website not being launched at the end of April. I really wish I would have seen the sneak peak at the Chopin Theater in Chicago a couple of months ago. Oh well...one day...........
