My wife (Colleen) and I (Gary aka TallGuy) will be arriving Monday Aug. 10 via The Queen. We will be departing Friday Aug. 15 also via The Queen. We will be staying the entire time in the housekeeping cottages in Rock Harbor. Monday afternoon will be spent just kicking back and relaxing with a couple of short hikes thrown in for exercise. Tuesday and Thursday will be spent with long day hikes, one from Rock Harbor to Lane Cove and back (done this before and loved it). The other water taxi to Moskey Basin then follow Lake Ritchie, Indian Portage, Greenstone, and Daisy Farm trails for a pick up by The Sandy at the Daisy Farm dock for a ride back to Rock Harbor (haven't done this one and can't wait). Wednesday will be spent recovering from Tuesday's hike with possibly a couple of short walks or a Sandy trip. Friday morning will be spent relaxing while we await The Queen. If anyone would like to share the water taxi to Moskey I'll put the entire ride on my lodging bill if you'll reimburse me cash for your share before we leave. The cost per person drops precipitously the more people riding but it all has to be on one reservation. We are from Southwestern Michigan and you can contact me by responding here.
