Minnesota Outdoor news had a in-depth article recently concerning this. There is even more disturbing details in that article about the mortality. The State of Alaska no longer uses radio collars on moose. The MN DNR also fired a staff member that voiced objection to radio collars when she saw what was happening and wanted it stopped. Our moose are in enough trouble without making the situation worse. Very sad that this was allowed to happen.
