Nasty Weather
Has anyone heard how IR survived the nasty front that just blew through? How did the ferry boats do? They were predicting 3' - 6' waves and heavy rain.

Re: Nasty Weather
Both boats from Grand Portage made their scheduled trips on Wednesday. The weather did flush a few folks off the island a few days early. Wednesday pre daylight hours brought nearly 4 inches of rain with more showers throughout the day and Into Thursday. Forecast is for dryer, but warm and to get warm weather requires strong southwest winds which are coming for the weekend. Nothing new, all the fun begins in late August every year.

Monday the 24th the boats did not run. The Voyageur made a full run on the 25th. i.e. complete circumnavigation. Sunday/Monday was a lot of fun up on the ridge. Thank god for rain gear. The last 2 weeks have been interesting.
