How much mileage do you want to do?

Arriving RH on the Ranger III on July 10. Assuming it gets there at 3 and I can get going before 4, will I have enough daylight to get to DF? I'd hate to waste a night at 3 Mile.

July 10, the daylight is pretty long. You will be the one who knows how long it will take you to hike six miles, but it is a moderately up-and-down trail with zero net elevation gain.. If it’s raining it will be slippery in spots. I would suggest planning for Daisy Farm, but be ready to stop at 3-Mile or even Rock Harbor if you arrive late, are tired (a common issue after long travel days and a rough frrry ride), or you are hiking slower than expected.

Sure you can make it. It is definitely doable if you have some hiking experience. The trail is not super easy but I wouldnt call it crazy hard. Have a plan B but you should have plenty of daylight. PS 3 mile isnt all that bad. I really enjoyed our stay there. Not sure why you would consider it wasting a night. Honestly it was quieter than daisy on all of our trips.
