I think the fundraising is great but there was a different GoFundMe effort during the previous batch of wolves transferred. I'ts still there at the GoFundMe website but listed as closed and it is hard find as it does not show up in their search function. I guess a start a new fund (maybe by a different organization) with each batch transferred.

4 wolves were caught Friday.

6 wolves caught on Michpicoten and 1 wolf from the mainland to be moved to IR.

Have not seen any explanation for theaddition of the mainland wolf.

Can't remember where I read it, but the mainland wolf was part of the regular plan and the Michpicoten pack was just a target of opportunity. They're trying to make sure that there is plenty of genetic diversity from the beginning.
