Status of flies and mosquitos now?

Post by Blooms2 »

We are headed over to the island Monday. Does anyone know if the flies and mosquitos are bad yet? Of course, we waited until late to pack. Now I trying to decide if I should take time to treat our clothes.

I would be on the safe side and treat them. The spray lasts a few washes so they will be good for your next trip after the island if bugs end up not being a problem. Better to be safe then sorry.

I was on the island from the 2nd to the 7th and didn't see a single mosquito, and could count the black flies on one hand.

Just returned yesterday. Mosquitos are out, but not horrible. The nights in the low to mid 40s really helped.
Didn't see a single black fly, but heard from someone they saw a couple. None-the-less, not a bad hatch, yet.
