I also wonder about the apparent pup tracks they found at the east end of the Island in September. Sounds like surprises are in store when/if they return to Isle Royale next January for the wolf/moose study.

Thank you for posting this treeplanter! I had hoped to watch the live stream but couldn't make it. It is always interesting and fascinating to listen to Rolf or Cindy talk about Isle Royale and the Moose/Wolf study!

I also thought the Lake Ojibway info was great. My favorite non-scientific quote was what the moderator said about what was apparently a picture of Rolf's garage that "it looked like Frankenstein's lab".
