Is there a public canoe/kayak rack at Windigo?
Just wondering. Thinking ahead toward next summer's adventure which might include a south-shore paddling trip from RH to Windigo. Where do visitors store their kayaks while "in port"? At RH there is a rack just behind the ranger station, and at the outports it doesn't really matter as there is not that much traffic other than wilderness visitors. But Windigo gets a boatful of day visitors from Grand Portage.

When we were there last. a few years ago, we left our kayaks off to the side near the ramp where the fuel dock is. I think there is a rack there, but it was full. Now that there is a store next to the bathrooms, that may change. We also left them under the boater's pavillion out of the way of course.
