This sounded like a great idea to me, but REI is no longer selling the 10 L basin (20 L seems awfully large). I could find the 10 L on Amazon, but as the Brits say, it was "too dear" for me.

Ended up with this 12 L product. It's very light, folds up small, is self-supporting, and there's no need to mess with the metal ring around the top.
