I have been lucky enough to be asked to participate in the Volunteer in Parks pilot program at IR as a photographer this summer. I will be spending 2 weeks trying to capture this sublime place in all its glory. To say I am honored and humbled is an understatement. I have been exploring IR for almost 60 years ever since my Father took myself and my older brother there back in the early 1960's and the island in all its beauty and mystery captured my soul and led me on this life long journey of discovery and joy. This will be my way of giving back to this wondrous place.

Congratulations Chief. Do you know yet where you'll be putting your feet up and how you'll be getting around?

As of now the plan is multiple days base camping at Windigo, McCargoe,Moskey, Daisy and add others as opportunities present themselves. RH is in play in middle to resupply and end of trip. Too much camera gear to backpack. Will head inland for long day tramps. As everybody knows plans change once you hit the ground. Looking to capture, landscapes, wildlife, nightsky/Milky Way, and shots of folks Isle Royaling :D. I will be getting around on Voyaguer, the Park Service and other VIP's with boats and as much as possible my own two feet.
