Construction on Rt 61

For folks taking either the VII or Seahunter, there is construction on Rt 61 between Grand Marais and Grand Portage and may cause 30 minute delays.

Confirmation from the owners of the Outpost Motel, located just north of Grand Marais:
"It is east (north) of our motel and between us and the ferry in Grand Portage. Typically it takes about a half hour to get there from here, but we have been telling people to allow for at least 45 minutes."

FYI, construction is complete, no delays and 17 miles of new pavement.
