Itinerary: Base camping with canoe on Belle Isle, will move for a couple nights to Duncan and maybe Pickerel or Lane Cove. Plan to hike up the portage, sans canoe and gear, to check out the burn area from last years fire. Get picked up at Belle Isle and overnight in RH with the VII on the way home.

Day 4: Huginnin Cove --> Washington Creek (via East HC Trail) + afternoon paddle in Washington Harbor/Creek
Day 5: Check out the Windigo Nature Trail, the Moose Exclosure, and the gift shop before heading home on the Voyageur

Notes/Other: Hoping that the thimbleberries will be ripe while I'm there!

After about five years, I'm finally going to get to take a regular trip to Isle Royale, instead of my last five trips which were restoration work trips to the Rock of Ages lighthouse (although, I'm doing that trip too)

I'm also pretty pumped to finally post in this thread again

Notes/Other: First time at the island. We are mainly interested in staying at sites that offer good views of Lake Superior. We have also considered hiking into Siskiwit and removing the Todd Harbor stop. However, we wouldn’t want to hike Feldtmann ridge to Washington Creek (this time) and don’t really want to back track.
