I'm pretty sure we spent a very pleasant evening telling stories around the fire pit at Siskiwit! I just didn't put two and two together until later.Backpacker534 wrote: Tue May 30, 2023 6:31 pm Looks like our paths never crossed, dcclark. Maybe another time.
Oh my gosh! That was you and your wife? So, I guess we did cross paths! How awesome was that?! Two hours in front of the fire discussing the finer points of backpacking and Michigan copper mines and history. That was so much fun, and I never put two and two together and thought it was you. My buddies and I agreed that that was one of the highlights of our trip... the campfire conversations with an awesome couple.dcclark wrote:I'm pretty sure we spent a very pleasant evening telling stories around the fire pit at Siskiwit! Haha, we had the same experience! My wife and I also thought that evening was one of the highlights of our trip. Hope the rest of yours went well -- we spent the next two days at Feldtmann dodging moose who walked through our campsite.Backpacker534 wrote: Tue May 30, 2023 7:36 pmOh my gosh! Thanks -- he marched back and forth so much that I had time to practice.
