I'm curious how they identified and charged them almost 2 yrs later.

Takes awhile to narrow down the list of possible people, to potential suspects to "it was these morons". Then interview any leads, get all that in front of a prosecutor, etc...

The big question is how much is the restitution discount for guilty pleas.

fine, big restitution, few years probation, no jail time

I'm sure the park could use them for hiking out from the outhouses for disposal too

I'm glad they caught them. Their negligence impacted my '22 trip. Still had a great time, but not what I'd spent a year planning.
