Anyone have a feel for how busy the 2009 season on Isle Royale is shaping up?

Well i am not sure if it will be busier than years past, but the price of gas at $2.50 this year should increase the amount of visitors a little bit, i would think.

I can see though that of all the people who have listed an itenarary on this site, noone is going to be there the same time as us. July3-11th. I think there is one person/s who is arriving the same day we depart for Houghton. They are coming in from Copper Harbor so we still will not cross paths. Too bad as i was hoping to meet some of the people from this site!

My son and I did the 4th of July time period last year and were nearly consumed by the mosquitoes...this year moving to the end of August.

The best 5 bucks I spent was the head net - we had people offering us cash for it on the trail - -no way...it was gold!
