I found a link about fee-free weekends at certain national parks...the weekends listed are: July 18-19, 2009 & August 15-16, 2009. Isle Royale is listed; although the info on the website mentions:
The waiver does not include other fees collected in advance or by contractors—such as fees charged for camping, reservations, tours and use of concessions.
Not sure if the text above means no saving $4 a day at IR or not, since the fee is collected on the boats?
