My January '10 Backpacker magazine came in the mail today, and as I was flipping through it I came across a name I recognized: Johnhens (the picture left something to be desired, haha). If you get the magazine, on page 27 John is listed as one of the Midwest readers who voted for various hikes in that region.

I have to know, was the picture tagged to this clip a true Isle Royale picture or
was it a Backpacker Mag. stock photo.
In my image of pic, it could be looking north from Wood Lake Narrows.

The picture of the Aurora with the article was supplied by Backpacker. I have not had the fortune of getting such a good picture.

The pic of the Northern Lights on Isle Royale is pretty good - the picture of John is not. Actually it is a nice pic, one I'm sure he'd be happy to have on here - so I suppose I should scan it and post it.
I'm not sure how I got the January '10 issue of BP so quickly. All my other issues have been late or on time, so maybe they are making up for it.

There isn't much in the way of fame-I still had to take out the garbage this AM
