Where was I?
Since I imagine many of us are dreaming about future trips, here's a little game to play.
Post a photo from somewhere in the park, and the rest of us will try to figure out where it is.
I'll start -- if you've been here, you know it:

Re: Where was I?
this is a guess---I haven't been exactly there, just there-ish. Is it the powderhouse at Senter Point?

Senter Point?
I'll dig through some unpublished photos to see if I have anything slightly mysterious.
Also: what is the code for posting photos the way you just did it?

Re: Where was I?
torpified wins! (And Kelly is a close second by about 2 minutes.) This is the powderhouse on Senter Point, which stored explosives for the Island Mine. It's an easy and well-worth-it bushwhack.
Kelly - when posting, click "Full Editor & Preview" and then upload a photo using the "Attachments" tab. There is a place next to each upload where you can write a caption. In that tab, click "Insert Inline" and it will put some code that you can move around to put photos wherever you want them.

Re: Where was I?
@Kelly -- hmmm, that looks familiar. Maybe somewhere along the Rock Harbor trail (like the Siskiwit mine)? I have no idea what the boxes are for though.

Re: Where was I?
@Kelly: ooooo---I don't think I've seen or heard tell of those. I'd say that I was stumped, only all the trees in the picture are intact. So:
I'm going to guess in the vicinity of Daisy Farm, just because there seems to be a lot of vestigial infrastructure there. It's not a great guess though: the boxes look like they're actually in use!

Re: Where was I?
dcclark wins! I never noticed them, until one day a couple of years ago a shaft of sunlight hitting the box on the left attracted my attention. I'm impressed--I really thought that one would be harder.
@torpified for what it's worth, they're closer to Three Mile than to Daisy Farm.

I am the sort of person who you'll sometimes come across on the trail, standing and staring into the woods because I thought I saw something interesting. Still have no clue what those boxes are for, though!
I'm curious to know who else has some good mystery photos!

Re: Where was I?
Indeed, that's a fun thread! And it looks like it has had its run. Curious to see what new things we can come up with (not necessarily campgrounds) here.

Re: Where was I?
Just had some fun reading through the old thread(s). Will try and come up with something new in the next day or two.
