prisoners were pretty good size all on a small rapala
eyes were almost all keepers and caught them on rapalas and maybe one or two on jigs w. twister tails

Hey, Thanks for the tip!
About how deep is Moskey Basin? Would a rap that dives to 14 feet be enough?

Fishing for Lakers and Brookies
I will be on Isle Royale mid to late august and would like any tips, tricks, or info anyone is willing to share about fishing for lake trout on siskiwit or fishing for coaster brook trout (even though it is catch and release only) between rock harbor and chip harbor.
It would be really helpful to ...

kayaking from rock harbor to chippewa harbor
If someone were to paddle between rock harbor & chippewa harbor would it be easier to start at chippewa and go to rock or start at rock and go to chippewa? Based on wind direction, waves, current, etc. ???
Thanks,
Brian
Thanks,
Brian

Kayaking Questions
Thanks for the info!!
Hey does anyone know how far a couple young guys who are in shape but are not avid kayakers can make it in one day? (I am guessing 2+ mph for 5 straight hours to make 10+ miles in one day.)
we will be either using one tandem kayak like the one shown in this link:

Spray Skirts
Ok, I am looking into buying spray skirts for my kayaks. I assume they aren't all the same. What should I look for and what should I stay away from. I don't mind spending some money if it will work good and last. Thanks for the advice!!

Re: Snorkel
Haha
I didnt even think of that. So swimming in general is not a fun thing unless you like to pick leeches off afterwards. Are the leeches bad in all the inland lakes?

Snorkel
I thought it might be fun to bring a snorkel with me on my trip. How is the water clarity in the inland lakes, if I brought a snorkel would I be able to use it or is it a waste of space/weight? just wondering
Thanks
Thanks

Re: kayaking/canoeing siskiwit lake and surrounding area
I just thought of one more thing...
Why did you take two single kayak's when you went with your dad rather than a canoe or a tandem? Is it because that was what you had available or is there another reason?
Below is the link to the kayak I own. It is a tandem so obviously I plan on going with a ...

Re: kayaking/canoeing siskiwit lake and surrounding area
Thank you all for the replies,
I have been putting together a list of things/eqpt to bring, but it would be nice to check it against someone else's list who has done the kayak/portage trip before. If you all don't mind could you post or send me a list of things to bring (or even things not to bring ...
