I'd think about hiking the Minong on the 1st 1/2 of your trip since it's considered the harder trail.

When you get to Windigo you can go straight across on the Greenstone or work in the Feldmann loop depending on how you feel..

I was thinking about taking the shoreline the whole way down.

Camping at Siskiwit bay and making it to Hay bay in one day.

Thinking about doing the Feldmann loop and going from Siskiwit Bay to Hay Bay.

Does the NPS charge any more for a back country permit?

Lake Desor without a doubt, there's a beach down towards the right at the end of the trail.

Stayed there last fall.

The hotel room was nice, the restaurant not so much..

Wondering if the trees and underbrush are too thick or not? Looks like a ridge you could possible stay on most of the way.

Sentar point is in Siskiwit Bay, from what I've heard the only thing left of the power house is the foundation.

There is an old Steam engine just off the trail south of Island Mine.

Last year we took the Voyager II over to IR. Thinking about going from Copper Harbor to Rock Harbor and back this year.

1st question - If we hike all the way across what does it cost to take the Voyager II back to Rock Harbor from Windigo?

2nd question - Does the park offer any transportation ...
